MATERNAL COLONY OF GOULDS WATTLED BAT. PINK BITS ARE BABIES

THIS NEST BOX SIMULATES THE TYPE OF NATURAL COVER REQUIRED BY BATS  DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. ENTRY IS GAINED FROM THE BOTTOM WHERE THE BATS ROOST IN A SERIES OF BAFFLES. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT TWO BOXES ARE PLACED ON SAME TREE BUT OPPOSITE EACH OTHER, ONE FACING EAST AND ONE WEST TO SUIT THE BATS REQUIREMENTS.
A SINGLE CELL BAT BOX IS AVAILABLE WITH A DOOR IN THE BOTTOM WHICH ALLOWS ACCESS TO THE BATS FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES. THIS BOX WORKS JUST AS WELL, AND COSTS A LITTLE LESS.
